Fighting between government and opposition forces in Kadibi county in the proposed Amadi State last week killed 11 people, a local official told Radio Tamazuj. 

John Henry, commissioner of Kadibi county said armed opposition forces attacked the area on the October 17th, killing 11 people.He claimed that government forces repulsed them, adding that the clashes resulted in the destruction of farms in the area.

The commissioner said many citizens who fled the area due to the clashes are in dire humanitarian need and lack food and shelters.

He called on humanitarian organizations to provide food assistance to avoid any crisis this situation may cause.

The Equatorias have seen intense fighting between government and opposition forces since fighting in the capital of Juba killed hundreds of people. President Salva Kiir has promised to personally lead government forces in the region.
