Fighting between SAF and SPLA-N in Blue Nile

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) clashed with the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North at Salbal about 30 kilometres south of Damazin in Blue Nile state Wednesday.

Other clashes were reported over control of Masfa in Bau.

Sources told Radio Tamazuj Wednesday that the military hospital received two bodies of government troops and four wounded.

Radio Tamazuj could not reach the two warring armies for more details.

Separately, a paramilitary force referred to locally as ‘Janjaweed’ raided a camp of displaced people at Bagis area under the pretext of disarming the displaced last week.

They arrested over 70 displaced and took about 31 persons among them to Damazin town, while the rest are still under incarceration, according to the same sources.
