He added that the session was chaired by ‘omda Saad Digays, the judge of Basous area for Rizeigat while ‘omda Adam Abdul Rahman Ibrahim chaired on the side of the Misseriya.
Ibrahim, for his part, appealed to the state government of Western Kordofan to work hard to establish a security zone between the Misseriya and Rizeigat so that the two communities can carry on their lives without fear of clashes.
Last year on 24 December clashes broke out in the border area between East Darfur and West Kordofan, leading to the death of a Rizeigat community member called Mohamed Matar Idris. At that time also a number of livestock were looted by the Misseriya Fayareen.
