Health officials in South Sudan’s Fashoda state decry a shortage of drugs across the state despite an increase in water-borne diseases as the rains continue.

Health officials in South Sudan’s Fashoda state decry a shortage of drugs across the state despite an increase in water-borne diseases as the rains continue.

Fashoda State Minister of Health Lino Pancreas told Radio Tamazuj that the main hospital in the state is experiencing a shortage of drugs especially for communicable diseases.

Pancreas warned that if the situation is not resolved as soon as possible many live coud be lost.

He appealed to the national government and health organisations to supply medicines to the state to help save the lives of many people suffering from treatable disease.
