There are growing fears amongst local farmers in South Kordofan, that the growing season may be delayed due to the lack of funding for agricultural projects and available equipment.

A number of farmers stressed the importance for local authorities to provide the necessary equipment needed to grow crops.

They also called for the road connecting areas in Salaam locality to be reopened before the season starts.
