A three-day peace conference attended by local farmers from Wau and pastoralists from Wau was concluded in Tonj on Wednesday.

The participants reviewed resolutions adopted during a previous conference organized in Marial Bai and agreed to expedite the implementation process to maintain peace between the two states.

The resolutions intended to regulate seasonal migration of pastoralists from Tonj to Wau State during the dry season and relationship between pastoralists and farmers.

“In the conference we have come up with 13 resolutions and within these there are six important points,” Mario Nyiban, an MP from Wau said.

The conference was organized by TOCH organization with support from Safer World.
