Family prepares to receive the body of Late James Loro

The family of the Late Retired Major-General James Loro Cirisio, a prominent Bari Elder says they are preparing to receive his body for burial in his ancestral home of Logo West in Rejaf Payam of Central Equatoria State.

The family of the Late Retired Major-General James Loro Cirisio, a prominent Bari Elder says they are preparing to receive his body for burial in his ancestral home of Logo West in Rejaf Payam of Central Equatoria State. 

The Late Loro, 83, died on Thursday night in Khartoum, Sudan where he has been living.

Edward Legge Ng'wangkir, a Bari Elder also from Logo told Radio Tamazuj that, "He died on Thursday at 8 pm in Khartoum. After eating, he stood up because he felt tired. He then fell and hit his head down and died. That is how he died. He had been sick earlier and had a problem with his leg. He received treatment at the military hospital in Khartoum until he started using a stick, he was now okay. But he was already old and tired."

He said, "We are preparing to bring his body from Khartoum. We have prominent people who spoke to the authorities in Khartoum and they have agreed to bring his body. The body is at the military mortuary, when they are ready, they will inform us when his body will arrive." 

Elder Legge said burial preparations have started in Logo, his final resting place.

The Late Loro has previously served as chairman of the Transitional High Executive Council for southern Sudan, Governor of Bahr el Jebel, currently Central Equatoria State among other high profile positions. He is survived by two wives and four children.
