The families of political detainees in Sudan have expressed concern about the continued detention of their family members without any recourse to justice.
In a statement seen by Radio Tamazuj, the families said many of the detainees' health is deteriorating yet they are not allowed to seek medical attention.
They also condemned the continued detention saying it is not in line with the provisions of the Sudanese law.
The Sudanese National Intelligence Security Services have recently released more than 80 political detainees including civil activists and university students who were arrested during protests over deteriorating economic situation in the country at the beginning of the year.
More than 70 political prisoners still remain in detention.
