Falata herders and Maban community discuss coexistence

Concordis International has launched yesterday a peace border conference between the nomadic Arab and Falata herders and local community and refugees in Maban County of South Sudan Unity state.

Concordis International has launched yesterday a peace border conference between the nomadic Arab and Falata herders and local community and refugees in Maban County of South Sudan Unity state.

Maban County Commissioner Luk Sadalla Deng told Radio Tamazuj the conference aimed to strengthen coexistence between local community and herders.

He pointed out that the Arab and Falata herders are coming to the area this season and the conference is to avoid any clashes between the communities.

Sadalla said the organization is holding workshops on peace and coexistence in the area each year.

He added that 21 people from the Falata community, Arab nomads, refugees and local community have participated in the conference which will be closed on Wednesday.
