John Richard, the head of the Good Endeavours Committee in Western Bahr el Ghazal state, said the organization would launch an initiative to restore peace and stability in the state.
Richard said it was necessary following recent attacks by the SPLA-IO in Western Bahr el Ghazal. The former MP said he has briefed several officials on his plans. The idea is to restore the security situation and return stability to the state, though he offered few additional details.
Richard did rule out any attempts at political compromise.
