The former Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State Salva Chol Ayat Akoon has refuted rumors of his death and other rumors that members of his family had been poisoned and admitted to hospital.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj by phone from Juba, Salva Chol said that he only went to Juba for medical checkups and he is in good health athe moment.

The former governor also said that none of his family members have been admitted to hospital for treatment.

The general said there were some rival politicians who spread the rumors to achieve their own interests.
