State employees of Abu Zabad locality of Sudan’s Western Kordofan state started a three-day strike on Sunday, demanding for the payment of February salaries.

The chairman of the area labor union, Mohammed Hamad Al Amin told Radio Tamazuj that the workers will resume work on Wednesday if their demands are met.

If the demands are not met, Hammad continued, the workers will go on an open strike.
