The leader of the national assembly Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir announced that president Bashir issued a decree for the emergency law to be extended to Al Salaam locality, Al Dibab and Heiban in South Kordofan.

The emergency law was announced on May 2 to apply to various localities along the border with South Sudan.
