The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Nabil Fahmi, is expected to visit South Sudan on Wednesday 21 August.

In a press conference on Monday, Barnaba Marial Benjamin, the South Sudanese Foreign Affairs Minister confirmed the arrival of the Egyptian official in Juba on Tuesday.

“The visiting Minister is scheduled to meet South Sudan’s president Salva Kiir Mayardit to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of bringing peace following the June 30th Revolution in Egypt” Benjamin revealed.

The official also welcomed the Fahmi visit to South Sudan. He reaffirmed that South Sudan has “good links and diplomatic ties with the Arab Republic of Egypt”.
