Egypt to re-build bridge in South Sudan’s Malakal

The Egyptian government has sent engineers to the capital of Upper Nile state to re-build a bridge within the town. The bridge will cross a steep ravine which floods during the rainy season, easing the movement of goods from the local port to market. Egyptian engineers estimate the project will cost a total of 300,000 USD. They aim to finish the project before the rains begin.
