Egypt’s Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Hossam Moghazy is due to announce Monday the results of bilateral talks with South Sudan on water cooperation.
South Sudan’s Minister Jemma Nunu Kumba arrived in Cairo Saturday for a four-day visit where she met Moghazy.
A source in Cairo said the two ministers discussed ways to boost bilateral cooperation in water resources, irrigation, and joint projects aiming at serving the well-being and common interests of the two countries.
The discussions also touched on establishing projects to benefit from water losses, especially rain water in Bahr al Ghazal region.
