An Egyptian delegation has delivered a feasibility report for the construction of a mini-dam on the Jur River in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal State. The delegation was headed by Dr. Hossam Mughazi, the Egyptian Minister of Irrigation.

Radio Miraya quoted South Sudan’s Minister of Dams, Electricity and Irrigation, Jemma Nunu Kumba, as saying the dam, if constructed, will be a vital source for water and electricity to Wau town.

The Egyptian Minister of Irrigation said his government is ready to support the project.
