Egypt’s Ambassador to South Sudan Aymen Al-Jamal said his country will support South Sudan’s national dialogue announced by President Salva Kiir by offering capacity building trainings and technical support.
Al-Jamal made the remarks on Monday during his meeting with the Co-chair of the National Dialogue Steering Committee Angelo Beda at Juba’s Freedom Hall.
Lillian Valentino Riziq, a member of the committee, said that the Egyptian diplomat expressed his government’s commitment to train the committee members at the Institute of Peace Studies in Cairo, or send experts to Juba to train the members.
She added that the ambassador also promised to provide computers and other necessary equipment to facilitate the committee’s work, saying it will be a great opportunity to learn from the Egyptian experience.
