Education ‘not a priority’ at Yida camp

Refugees in Unity state camp in South Sudan have complained of the poor state of education available at the camp. ‘The conditions of students has not changed since they came here [having fled fighting in the Nuba Mountains] and they are very poor. We have repeatedly asked humanitarian organisations for school materials but education is not a priority for organisations such as the UN’, said Hammad Bashar education coordinator at the camp.
