Eastern Lakes has reshuffled its country borders and officials, the state government announced this week.

Governor Rin Tueny Mabor removed the three county commissioners of Awerial, Yirol West and East, and expanded the number of counties from three to eight.

He divided Awerial county into three and named Abang Simon Jok Geng as the Commissioner of Awerial North County with the administrative headquarters at But-agok, Andrew AyiuKoro, Commissioner of Awerial South County with the administrative headquarters at Mingkam, also known as Guolyar, one of the places hosting members of the internally displaced persons from Bor.

Other officials include Magar Anyuon as Commissioner of Lou County with administrative Headquarters at Nyang. Manyang Luk was named Commissioner of Adoor County with administrative headquarters at Adior. Tong Kariom was named Commissioner of Yirol County with administrative headquarters at Yirol town.

Geng-Geng Majak Kuot was appointed Commissioner of Aluakluak County with headquarters at Aluakluak. Diardit Bol Dak, was named Commissioner of Ngop County with headquarters at Ngop, and Madit Achiek as Commissioner of Abang County at headquarters at Abang.
