A leading member of Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party (NCP) in East Darfur State has questioned the fairness of the elections in Abu Jabra Locality.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Hamoda Hamid Saleh, an NCP member and contestant for Abu Jabra constituency number 26, said the ruling party has threatened all government employees with dismissal if they refuse to vote for certain parties.
Saleh said the ruling party mobilized citizens to vote for the Sudan I am Party, the Liberation and Justice Party led by Tijani Sisi, and other independent candidates.
He said the NCP also left some geographical consistencies uncontested for its allied political parties in the area.
