A tractor overturned on Tuesday while traveling near Kauda in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan, killing the driver instantly and injuring one trader slightly.

Eyewitness Hafiz Abdulbagi said the trailer was overloaded with goods and carrying seven traders while coming from Hadrah market to Kauda town. When reaching to Miggri Hill and heading downhill, the driver lost control and the tractor overturned.

Abdulbagi added that the driver tried all his effort but he could not manage to control the tractor because the trailer was full with goods. Its weight pushed the tractor off the road.

In the Nuba Mountains, road conditions deteriorate during the rainy season. Miggri Hill is known to be a challenging area to drive with several accidents occuring per year.
