Driver dies in Juba-Nimule road accident

An unidentified driver died on the spot when his car overturned along the Juba-Nimule highway on Tuesday, police said.

The incident, involving a Noah vehicle headed to Juba, occurred in Moli payam of Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria State.

Capt. Richard Clement, the deputy police inspector of Nimule Town Council told Radio Tamazuj that the driver was carrying illegal drugs.

“The numberless car carrying marijuana overturned because of over speeding, killing the person inside on the spot. After his death, people came, took away the illegal drugs and left,” he explained.

The police officer said the deceased was a South Sudanese national. He warned citizens against dealing in illegal drugs.
