The Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology reopened on Tuesday after closure for two months due to fuel shortages.
On February 19, the University was scheduled to reopen but it remained closed after failure to secure fuel to run the generators.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, Deng Manasseh Mach, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Dr. John Garang University said lectures for first and second year undergraduate students had resumed since Tuesday in line with the new calander as planned.
Manasseh did not, however, revealed how long the higher learning institution will be operational after it secured fuel.
The Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology is one of five public universities in South Sudan.
