The Acting Vice Chancellor of Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology, Dr. Kwai Malak Kwai, said the university reopened after closure for one month due to lack of fuel.
Officials in the university administration told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that they are now in a good shape to operate after the university got fuel from Nilepet.
“Like other four public universities, Dr. John Garang University receives its fuel supply through the Nile Petroleum Corporation (NilePet), a state-owned oil and gas company,” Kuai said.
The administrator pointed out that the registration process is ongoing for the first and second year students. Dr. Kwai also noted that supplementary exams will be offered on Monday.
The Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology is one of five public universities in South Sudan.
