Jordanian media reported that the Jordanian ambassador in Khartoum told local lawmakers that the Sudanese authorities arrested dozens of Jordanian students since last Wednesday aspart of a security crackdown following reports of leaking secondary school certificate exams questions.

The arrests follow reports of cheating by foreign students, though the authorities did not specify the reason of arresting those students.

Sudan’s Education Minister Suad Abdul-Razig revealed that her ministry has caught a number of foreign students cheating on their exams using smartphones. According to Shoruk news source, the minster stressed in a press statement on Tuesday that her ministry will not tolerate any chearing on exams.
