Dozens of families from Sudan’s Blue Nile State have fled conflict in Jam and Soda areas of Bau Locality.

Dozens of families from Sudan’s Blue Nile State have fled conflict in Jam and Soda areas of Bau Locality.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several eyewitnesses from Dirang area said that about 60 people were seen heading toward Damazin town following recent clashes between the SPLA-North and the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in Bau locality.

They further said the fleeing citizens were concerned about continuous bombings by the Sudanese air force in the area.

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North announced that they captured Jam and Soda areas on 28 February.

SPLA-North military spokesman Arnu Ngulutu Lodi claimed that the SPLA-North fighters captured four government soldiers during those clashes.
