Members of the Dok Nuer community who are living in the UN camps in the capital Juba have elected a new leadership after consultations initiated by members of the Dok youth.
The meeting, attended by about 1,200 participants from PoC1 and PoC2, voted to have one leadership. Stephen Majang Gatluak Mayian was elected as the new chairperson of the community association and Gatkoi Yak Chuol Kok was nominated as his deputy.
The leadership which comprises of eleven members started its work officially on Monday.
The newly elected community leader promised to work with all members of the Dok community.
