The Sudanese Doctors’ Union has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of killing the medical director of Al-Hasahisa Hospital and an anesthesiology consultant, Dr Farouk Yahya Mohammed, on the road to Al-Managil in Al-Gazira State in front of his family.
In a statement obtained by Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, the union confirmed the killing of Dr Mohammed while he was en route to Al-Managil with his family. The union did not provide the details of the incident.
A union member and head of the specialists’ branch, Adeeba Ibrahim Al-Sayyid, told Radio Tamazuj that Dr Mohammed was killed by the RSF in cold blood while on his way to Al-Managil, in front of his children.
Al-Sayyid remarked that such incidents were not unusual for the RSF.
Radio Tamazuj attempted to reach the RSF for a response but was unsuccessful.
