Displaced in Roseires appeal to Sudan govt to give them food

Conflict-displaced people from Bau area who are now living in Roseires Locality of Blue Nile state have appealed to the national government of Sudan to intervene in order to provide humanitarian assistance including food.

Conflict-displaced people from Bau area who are now living in Roseires Locality of Blue Nile state have appealed to the national government of Sudan to intervene in order to provide humanitarian assistance including food. 

An activist from one of their settlements told Radio Tamazuj on Friday, that around 2,000 families who fled from different parts of Bau in the past are now facing severe shortage of food and lacking basic services. They are currently staying in or around villages in Roseires Locality, which is also in Blue Nile State.

He urged the national and state governments to intervene and provide assistance to the displaced people before the situation worsens.
