Displaced in Minkaman donate to rebuild Twic East hospital

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Twic East county in South Sudan’s Jonglei state who fled to Minkaman area in Lakes State at the beginning of the war have donated 10,000 SSP to support Twic East Hospital.

In March, a fire burned medical equipments and medicines at hospital in the county headquarters.

Twic East County Commissioner Dau Akoi Jurkuch told Radio Tamazuj that the money was received by him in the presence of the caretaker governor, deputy governor, and deputy speaker of Jonglei state.

He said termed the donation as "a commendable initiative from the displaced people" which was appreciated by county and state authorities.
