Dozens of conflict-affected families have arrived recently in the Blue Nile capital Damazin following fighting between SPLA-North rebels and government troops in El Keli and other areas recently.
A source from Damazin told Radio Tamazuj the displaced citizens were lacking food, shelter and other basic services amid absence of humanitarian organizations in the town. Meanwhile, several local residents said the conflict-affected people came to residential areas looking for shelter and help from the local residents.
The locals called on the relevant authorities to provide relief to the new arrivals.
