More than 200 students studying at Sudan’s Sennar University have been dismissed by the university administration following tensions caused by the release of examinations results in the faculty of education.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday, sources said several students expressed dissatisfaction about the results, demanding corrections. This prompted the university administration to bring police forces to cordon off the university premises so as to deescalate the situation.
The students further called for resignation of the entire management team of Sennar University. They accused the university administration of targeting students on the basis of their political affiliation.
