A coordinator for justice and peace commission at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wau has been released on bail following her arrest on suspicion of food poisoning.

Natalina Andrea Mabu was taken into police custody over the last two weeks over a suspected outbreak of food poisoning during a workshop organized in Wau town where a top army commander and his bodyguard died.

Speaking to radio Tamazuj on Monday, Natalina confirmed that she has been released on Thursday. She added, “I have been accused of being behind the incident of food poisoning that happened during the workshop in Wau in which one SPLA general died. I did not attend the workshop it was organized by UNMISS.”

The diocesan official pointed out that she was released on bail awaiting a court verdict.
