A group of 42 Nuer and Dinka pastors met last Saturday under the auspices of the National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation Committee headed by Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul.
Bakhita Radio in Juba reported that the Episcopal Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul said the pastors came together to build trust among themselves first as a church body, but not as Dinka and Nuer communities.
The spokesman of the reconciliation committee, Rev Peter Kot said the pastors agreed to form a seven member ad hoc committee to lead peace and reconciliation process.
He said the pastors also agreed to lead a peaceful procession in Juba and other areas to denounce violence and reach peace.
He said the National Healing, Peace and Reconciliation Committee would support the work of the ad hoc committee in its quest for peace between the two communities.
