Conrad Samuel Aban Deng, the deputy to the Shilluk king (“Reth”) died last week in Khartoum at the age of 70 and his body was brought to Juba on Monday.
He was laid in his final resting place in Ogud village north of Malakal town after being brought from Juba on Tuesday.
The official spokesman of the Upper Nile state government Daniel Yor said in a press statement that the government prepared all the necessary things for the body of the late to be transferred to his hometown, where he was buried in a hut in a traditional way.
The late Conrad Samuel Aban took the role of deputy to the Shilluk “Reth” in about 1992.
