Deputy governor of Gok State urges youths to refrain from politics

The Deputy Governor of Gok State Kangor Deng Kangor has urged youth to refrain from politics and to work for peace and reconciliation among the state’s communities. The deputy governor made his remarks during an opening of a Governor's Cup organized by the State Ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports in Cueibet on Sunday last week (23 October).

The football cup was funded by Gok state governor Madhang Majok Meen. Kangor has added that sports is a unifying factor if it is well organized, it can bring the people from different locations together.

Caretaker Minister for Information, Culture, Youth and Sports, Samuel Wel Maciek urged youth to support sports activities in order to achieve the goals.

In a separate news development, the community of Ngap Administrative unit has celebrated the establishment of their area as a new Administrative Unit, pending approval by the National Council of States. In a statement to media, the Executive Director of Ngap Administrative Unit, Sabino Malual Matet thanked the Governor of Gok state, Madhang Majok Meen for establishing their Payam as a new Administrative unit.
