Death toll in Wau protests 8 and wounded 24

The wounded are still receiving medical treatment at Wau Teaching Hospital amid heavy security measures to prevent people from accessing the place. In the same context, hundreds of people attended the funeral ceremony in Wau town on Monday at Freedom Square cemetery after the authorities handed over the bodies to the parents at Wau Hospital amid tight security from the police and security services. Many in the Wau community have condemned the police forces for using live bullets to disperse demonstrators.
