Deadly attack in Raja County; commissioner wounded

Eleven people have been killed and others wounded in an ambush on the road between Raja town and Sapo area in Western Bahr al Ghazal State.

Eleven people have been killed and others wounded in an ambush on the road between Raja town and Sapo area in Western Bahr al Ghazal State.

At press time the identity of the attackers has not been established, nor have officials made accusations against any particular group.

Reportedly among the dead were four women and children, while Commissioner James Benjamin was among the wounded. 

This is the second roadside ambush in the county since last week. In the previous attack, SPLA vehicles were targeted.
