Cueibet County Commissioner Mayom Malek has voiced concern over low stocks of food in the area.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Mayom blamed a lack of rains, which have resulted in a poor harvest in the county, saying many families are expected to be severely food insecure in the coming period.
“There was a drought in Cueibet, which affected the cultivation of beans and sorghum. Many people have cultivated, but there were little rains this year,” he said.
