The three tribes peace conference of Misseriya, Rizeigat, and Dinka Malual will resume this month in the Northern Bahr al Ghazal capital Aweil.

Koul Athuai, State Advisor on Inter-border Relations, told Radio Tamazuj that the Dinka Malual and Misseriya will meet first beginning 16 December.

The conference aims to review past agreed principles governing seasonal movement of Messeriya into the Republic of South Sudan for grazing.

“There was nothing wrong with the past agreement as I know and if there are few mistakes then they should be corrected based on the agreement rules,” Kuol stated.

“I don’t see whether there will be new principles that will be amended, what we shall do is review them and if there are some we need to omit or add in the agreement then we can do so long as it is agree upon by the two tribes.”

Kuol said the Rizeigat and Dinka Malual will meet next month on the 10 January 2015.
