At least three persons were reported killed in two separate incidents in the capital Juba on Tuesday.
Police spokesman Daniel Justin told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that two people died and four others injured after a hand grenade exploded at Darfur Market between Mangateen and New Site residential areas in Juba.
He explained that the explosion occurred on Tuesday when a soldier threw a hand grenade into people at the market.
The police officer pointed out that the perpetrator has been arrested pending investigations.
Separately, a Sudanese man was shot and killed at Khor Wiliang neighborhood on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Elijah Suleiman.
Ashraf Ishag, head of the Nuba community in Juba, said Suleiman was shot dead by a soldier after a simple misunderstanding. He pointed out that the culprit has been arrested pending investigations.
