Police arrest 6 criminals in Juba

Police in South Sudan’s capital announced they have busted a major Juba crime ring.

Police spokesperson James Monday accused the men of carrying out illegal activities in Gudule, Rock City, and Hai Mouna.

Monday said cops found licenses for 13 stolen vehicles and recovered one stolen vehicle in connection with the suspects.

Executive Chief killed in Northern Bahr el Ghazal

Police have arrested several suspects in connection with the killing of the Executive Chief of Maduany in Northern Bahr el Ghazal state, including an SPLA soldier and the step-brother of the victim.

Northern Bahr el Ghazal police chief Brigadier General Mareng Deng said police are continuing investigations to find the cause of the killing. Residents in the area were reportedly frighted and called for more security forces to deploy.

Motorist shot dead in Jebel Dinka

A boda-boda driver was shot dead at Hai Jebel Dinka in Juba Wednesday at 9:00 AM according to eyewitnesses.

Two men asked the driver to take them somewhere, but shot him when they disagreed over the price. He died on the spot and the armed men escaped with the motorbike.
