Residents of the house called the SPLA soldier to come to rescue them from the armed man. When the soldier entered the house on a bike, one of the armed men shot him in the head. The robbers were five in number, three armed with guns and two were without guns, a source said, adding that police arrested two of the criminals the same day as they were fleeing the crime scene on the stolen bike.

Thieves steal cash from NGO in Juba

A group of armed robbers reportedly broke into an international non-governmental organization office in Juba and stole cash from the safe. Over 200,000 SSP and nearly 1500 USD were stolen. The incident occurred early in the morning of Saturday. The thieves entered the compound through a house behind the agency, broke the window and entered the finance office stealing the cash together with a laptop. Police officers came to crime scene but no suspect was arrested.
