A non-governmental organization has donated a variety of items to the taskforce on COVID-19 in Mundri West county of Western Equatoria State.

Joseph Taban, the county Executive Director, told Radio Tamazuj on Friday that Action Against Hunger (AAH) provided soap and handwashing containers to be distributed to people in the county.

He said members of the taskforce on COVID-19 are also creating awareness on the dangers of the new pandemic at payam level.

Taban urged citizens to follow health guidelines and preventive measures put in place by the government to combat coronavirus.

The number of coronavirus cases in South Sudan stands at 655.
