Compensation to be paid soon to murder victims in Greater Gogrial

Gogrial East County Commissioner Daniel Anyuon says that an investigation committee will wrap up its work next week, after which cows will be exchanged as blood compensation.

The payments of cattle for victims of inter-communal clashes in the area will be made on the basis of Wanhalel customary law.

Addionally, two people were sentenced to three years in prison in connection with the killings, one from each county, according to the commissioner.

The commissioner also reports that the people of his county are much affected by malaria these days, especially in Mangolapuok Boma where four people died of malaria since August.

Anyuon was speaking on the biweekly Radio Tamazuj program 'With the Commissioners'.
