A community advisor in Nimule payam of Magwi County was on Sunday killed in an accident, police said.

A community advisor in Nimule payam of Magwi County was on Sunday killed in an accident, police said.

Isaac Amoko, 30, was knocked dead by Nimule town clerk, Tisiano Tafeng.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, Col. Mbiko Barakati, the area inspector of police said the payam community advisor died on the spot.

“The town clerk was yesterday [Sunday] driving his car from the centre towards the checkpoint when he knocked Nimule payam community advisor, Amoko Isaac,” Mbiko said.

He added, “We do not know the motive of the accident, but investigations would be completed and we will know what exactly caused the accident. The law will automatically take its course”.

The police officer urged residents to abide by the set curfew hours and maintain social distancing to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
