Communist party criticizes Sudanese govt over persecution of S Sudanese

The Sudanese Communist Party (SCP) has criticized the Sudan’s government’s decision to treat South Sudanese citizens in Sudan as foreigners.

The Sudanese Communist Party (SCP) has criticized the Sudan’s government’s decision to treat South Sudanese citizens in Sudan as foreigners.

The Party said in a press statement on Sunday extended to Radio Tamazuj that South Sudanese fled to Sudan due to conflict in the South between President Salva Kiir and Riek Machar.

The statement added that South Sudanese fled to Sudan in extreme circumstances where they did not carry with them any properties or documents or passports but to flee the war.

The statement pointed out that the decision to treat southerners as foreigners will lead to further dispute and mistrust between the people of the two countries who were living in one country and have mutual interest.

The SCP called on the Sudanese government to reverse the decision and release those who were arrested upon the implementation of the decision.

The SCP also called for the implementation of the “four freedoms” agreement.
