Jackson Ezekiel, Minister of Local Government in South Sudan’s Gbudue State said they have formed a committee to divide the state’s assets with the newly created Tombura state.
President Salva Kiir on 14 January issued an order mandating the division of Gbudue state into two parts.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Minister Ezekiel said the two states had set up three sub-committees on assets, employees and finance to divide all assets among the two states.
The local official pointed out that the governors of the two states will meet on Monday to embark on the division of assets.
