Commissioner of Maban County in South Sudan’s Upper Nile state said a committee from Malakal has arrived to Maban to preach peace.
Luk Sadalla Deng told Radio Tamazuj that Chol Thon, who is appointed governor of so-called Eastern Nile state, sent the committee on Thursday which included his Political and Peace and Reconciliation Advisers to preach peace in the county.
He pointed out that the two advisers meet with religious leaders in the Mosque on Friday followed by a visit to the Church on Sunday to preach the citizens about reconciliation and peaceful coexistence.
The commissioner added that the visit will conclude by a political symposium about the peace agreement that was signed August last year.
